- AGE – at least 23 years of age
- EXPERIENCE – 2 years verifiable tractor trailer experience within the past 5 years
- LICENSE – Class A CDL must be valid and current
- ENDORSEMENTS – Require Tanker and HAZMAT at time of hire
- No more than 1 moving violations in the past 12 months
- No more than 1 preventable DOT recordable loss in the past 36 months
- No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- In combination – no more than 1 moving violations and 1 preventable DOT recordable losses in the past 3 years
- No Possession of alcohol or drugs in a motor vehicle in the past 5 years
- No Refusal to submit under implied consent, or similar in the past 5 years
- No Suspended license (current) in the past 5 years
- No Operating while suspended in the past 5 years
- No Suspensions of 30 days or more, as the result of a moving violation in the past 3 years
- No Felony using a motor vehicle in the past 5 years
- No Leaving the scene of an accident / Hit & Run
- No Fleeing or eluding a law enforcement officer
- No Reckless Driving Citations
- **DOT preventable accident is defined as a preventable accident involving a fatality, bodily injury or disabling damage to a motor vehicle where a vehicle must be towed from the scene of the accident.
- Face to Face interview
- Complete Application with all required information
- Successfully complete a Road Test
- Successfully complete a Drug Test
- Successfully complete a Physical Demands Evaluation Test and Worker’s Compensation Claim History Check
- Complete Driver Orientation
- Train with a Driver
- Complete and Submit Application with all required information
- Successfully Complete a Road Test
- Have your Truck Inspected by Our Shop
- Successfully Complete a Drug Test
- Complete Driver Orientation
- Sign Lease & Provide Insurance Certificates
- Must not be over 12 1/2 feet high
- Wheelbase needs to be under 270
- Equipment will need to pass a DOT inspection (we will inspect the truck before putting a unit in service)
- Bobtail Insurance – With our company listed as additional insured, notifying us 10 days prior to policy cancellation
- Physical Damage Insurance (Our insurance coverage under dispatch is only for liability and does not cover Owner Operator’s equipment)
- Occupational Accident Insurance – Certificate provided in our company name
- IFTA
- Registration / Base Plates (you will operate under our authority/DOT number).
- Must operate under a Trade Name and have a valid Federal Indentificaton Number (FEIN number)
- Driver’s License and Residence Must be in Colorado
